5 lines, staffed by alcoholics sober in AA for a least one
year. Aim to put people in touch with their local AA group.
First-time callers are offered the option of having a local
AA member contact them with a view to taking them to a meeting
near them, or they may prefer to go directly to a meeting.
Literature may be sent, giving information about AA and the
address of meetings nearby. Family members are offered the
telephone number of Al-Anon and information about AA if they
wish |

Alcohol Recovery Project (ARP) is a Special Needs Housing
Association, social work agency and registered charity. For
over 30 years it has offered high quality care and support
to people whose drinking or drug taking is causing them difficulties.
ARP services are offered to anyone with a drink or drug-related
problem and we aim to provide the best possible treatment
to all whatever the age, sex, race or sexuality. Details of

week residential programme balancing a psychodynamic understanding
of addiction, the strengths of the 12 step approach and individual
needs; incorporating individual counselling, group therapy,
education, family involvement and mutual help fellowships.
Single sex and community groups. On-going assessment and regular
reviews. Sessional workers provide: yoga, aerobics, relaxation,
art therapy, drama therapy, healing acupuncture. Sauna and
well-equipped gymnasium. Specialist Resettlement worker and
on going referral to aftercare service available |
